New Autumn Collections
Our new collections strike a delicate balance. They’re true to the classic, timeless elegance that ercol is known for, while exploring new ideas, and reflecting changing needs and tastes.
The Fairmile table and chairs are a perfect example of this. Crafted in our Princes Risborough factory from solid British certified ash, continuing our partnership with Grown in Britain (GiB) by ensuring that our British ash is responsibly and sustainably grown. These minimalistic pieces with modern and clean lines will slot perfectly into any interior along with being practical and extending from 180cm to 220cm to fit all of your family and friends around it.
Our new Sandford Sofa range has scrolled arms, curved legs, and deep sumptuous cushions. You can choose from a static or motion option with a smooth footrest mechanism. You can easily put your feet up with the added benefit that the sofa stays close to the wall so you don’t need to compromise on space. Cleverly, this option also comes with a USB port in the arm of the sofa.
Our new Bix Table is a beautiful alternative to a conventional desk for those who may work from home - and if the flowing, organic silhouette seems familiar, that’s because it’s inspired by our Pebble nest of tables designed in the mid 1950’s by our founder, Lucian Ercolani.
We have also re-launched the Chairmakers Chair this year, manufactured in solid ash, featuring a spindle backrest with double bow, a design that’s changed very little since it was created by Lucian in 1956. Meanwhile the new Highmoor extending dining table blends that same distinctive mid-century styling with skilfully engineered features in tune with contemporary living.
In fact, every new piece is the result of a carefully balanced approach that goes back to our earliest days. We’ve always combined the very best in modern manufacturing technology with traditional craft techniques and the irreplaceable care, accuracy and attention to detail of the craftsman’s hand and eye. It’s about making things right first time, using sustainable local materials wherever we can.
The results are both functional and beautiful; they’re built to last and actually improve with age and use. We’re deeply proud that you can say the same about an original piece from 70-odd years ago, and the new ones we’re releasing this autumn. We hope you’ll love them as much as we do.
